2.2 Warm-Up Phase

Before you begin any exercise bike workout, a proper warm-up is essential. This prepares your muscles for activity, increases blood flow, and helps prevent injuries. Aim for a 5-10 minute warm-up before exercise bike, followed by some light stretching. Here are some recommended stretches to incorporate into your warm-up routine:

  • Stretch down: With a slight bend in your knees, lean forward and attempt to reach your toes. Hold for 10-15 seconds, then repeat 3 times.
  • Sitting hamstring Stretch: Sit with one extended leg and the other leg turned in, reaching the toes of the straight extremity.
  • Calf and achilles stretch: Stand in front of the wall with arms against the wall and one leg a foot back, and keep the back leg straightened up as you lean forward. Hold for 10-15 seconds and repeat 3 times on each side.
  • Quadriceps stretch: While standing, reach behind to grab your foot and pull it towards your hips to feel a stretch in your thigh. Hold for 10-15 seconds, repeating 3 times per leg.
  • Inner thigh stretch: Sit with your knees facing outward and your feet pressed together, then pull your feet toward your groin. Hold for 10-15 seconds, performing 3 repetitions for each leg.

These stretches are ideal for improving flexibility and can also serve as a good cool-down after your workout.

2.3 Start Exercise Bike Workout

Once you're warmed up and your exercise bike is adjusted, you can begin your workout. The Merach S26 Exercise Bike offers both Goal Mode and Free Mode. In Goal Mode, you can set specific targets for time, distance, or calories. If you prefer a more flexible approach, Free Mode allows you to ride without predefined targets. You can follow the step-by-step guide below to start your exercise bike training.

Step 1: Power Up The Exercise Bike

Turn on the bike and choose your preferred settings. Most bikes have preset programs, or you can create your own workout.

Step 2: Choose Your Resistance Level

Start with a lower resistance if you're a beginner and increase it gradually as you get stronger.

Step 3: Start Pedaling

Begin at a steady pace, focusing on smooth and controlled leg movements. Keep your core engaged and maintain a rhythm.

Step 4: Monitor Your Progress

Watch the screen for metrics like time, distance, speed, calories burned, and heart rate (if available) to track your performance.

Step 5: Adjust Resistance

To challenge yourself, gradually increase the resistance for hill climbs or tougher workouts. Make small adjustments to avoid overexertion. You can turn the knob clockwise to increase resistance and counterclockwise to decrease resistance.

Step 6: Cool Down

After your workout, slow your pace and lower the resistance to allow your heart rate to gradually return to normal.

Step 7: Finish & Atore Your Exercise Bike

Turn off the bike and record your session's stats. When moving the bike, hold the front of the handlebars and push down so that the moving wheels at the front make contact with the ground, making it easier to push. For women or the elderly, use the feet to hold the front leg tube in place while pressing down on the front of the handlebars. This makes lifting and moving the bike much simpler. To safely place the bike down, follow the same steps.

Attention:

  • Emergency stop: The flywheel and pedals on your exercise bike are linked, meaning if the flywheel is still rotating, the pedals will continue to move as well. It can be dangerous to try and step off the bike or remove your foot while the pedals are in motion. If you need to stop the pedals in an emergency, please press the brake knob downward until the motorized bike stops.
  • Brakes: If you want to stop after reaching a certain speed, simply place your hand on the brake knob and gently press it downward. This will add resistance to the flywheel, gradually bringing the exercise bike to a stop.

4. FAQs About Merach S26 Exercise Bike

Q1: What muscles does an exercise bike work?

With an exercise bike, you can work your lower body effectively, such as your front, back, and glutes of the thigh. Also, your core muscles are activated to keep your body still, especially when you are on more strenuous rides.

Q2: Is an exercise bike good for weight loss?

Of course! It is quite an efficient weight-loss device. Biking, particularly at a moderate-to-high intensity, consumes a lot of calories. But this also depends on your weight, output, and duration of the exercise. Cycling also improves your metabolism, increasing the amount of calories you burn even without any exercise.

Q3: Can I use an exercise bike while pregnant?

To most pregnant people, an exercise bike may be one of the safest and healthiest exercises. The upright position of the exercise bike minimizes falls. Nevertheless, you should be careful enough to consult your medical expert before taking or initiating any exercise during pregnancy. They will give you some separate recommendations depending on your health condition and pregnancy advancement.

Q4: Can I use an exercise bike after an oblique muscle injury?

It depends on your physical condition. Although an exercise bike provides low-impact exercise, which can be beneficial for rehabilitation, the rotating motion of bike pedaling has the potential to strain healing oblique muscles. Before engaging in any exercise after an injury to the oblique muscles, it is critical to consult a doctor or a physical therapist. They can determine your exact situation and advise when you can start exercising. Trying to exercise too soon may increase the injury and extend your healing time.

Q5: Is an exercise bike good for cardio?

Yes. Routine riding assists in conditioning your heart and lungs, improving your cardiovascular system. Regular exercise bike workouts will improve stamina, reduce heart-related problems, lower blood pressure, and increase blood circulation. The ability to control the resistance and speed of Merach S26 Exercise Bike allows you to tailor your cardio workouts to various intensity levels.
